Looks like new! Is that car in the USA? How much is it worth out there today? Here in Switzerland you can find sad and neglected (but still very solid) 164 3.0V6 24V supers for $1000-2000. As a friend of mine that races an Alfa V6-powered Dallara prototype said, "you get a $2000 engine and they throw in a car for free" :) It's sad but I think most European 164s will get the chop in the next 10 years, it will become very rare before it gains classic status.

PS - What happened to your neighbor's car in the picture? That silver BMW 330Ci looks like it had a nasty encounter with a hedge or something... :D :D

Hi. Yes it is in the USA and 100% US spec, except the wheels. Sellers ask about 9,000-10,000 for great 164's. Good ones 5,000-8,000 and fair ones 3,000-4000.

That BMW is my car. Some guy swerved into my lane and nailed me. It is in the shop now being repaired (paid for by his insurance company).

Hi there, I have always been an estimator of the Alfa V6: I own a GTV V6 24V, and I'm thinking of getting one of the new GT Coupes with the last of the original Alfa 3.2l V6 before they stop making them. The new GM-based V6 is nowhere as good, it's thirsty and doesn't have a genuine Alfa feel to it. Unfortunately I was told by an Alfa manager that sadly the entire factory where they built the V6s since 1979 has been physically demolished, the tooling and castings probably thrown away and destroyed. :(

Maybe I should advertise Euro 164 supers on the US Alfa Club magazine... if the price difference is so huge it could be worth it :)
