I think it was a very well presented auction and the final price reflected that, as well as the special nature of the car.

The commentary on the corporate allocation process for this car was very interesting. I was struck by how myopic FCA was at the time: they could only think to award the #33/33 Tributo to an internal executive?

What about someone like Joe Nastassi who is the caretaker of most of the racing Tipo 33s in the US? Or Lawrence Auriana who owns an original Tipo 33 Stradale (among other amazing racing Alfas, including a racing Tipo 33)? Seems like a wasted opportunity to me.

Absolutely crazy price. Good for the seller. I mean... It's a fantastic car. Great spec/last one etc... so it's an amazing offering. But also a massive premium because of it

I saw a white one today. I still really like the size and proportions.
Eye watering price. Good for the seller.

I was seriously thinking on bidding on #33.

But I like cars that I can (& my friends) drive with spirit…….not concerned with mileage.

Funny thing for a guy that has too many cars that have not (comfortably) driven yet.

I appreciate some have said 'eye watering price, etc'. but I think we can all acknowledge that this wasn't a car for everyone.

If you would have asked me two weeks ago what I thought it would sell for, I would have said 200k, so it sold for pretty much exactly what I expected. I have had people make offers for it in that range over the past couple years so the final price wasn't at all surprising. My auction was unfortunately very poorly timed. Over the ten day period, the Nasdaq fell 7.3%, so I think a better result may have occurred against a different macro backdrop. I got what I expected though, so no complaints.

I am happy to see it go to its new owner. Despite being an absolutely gorgeous and historically significant car, I can't really say I enjoyed owning it. I am more a driver personally (and own another 4C that I drive). I never wanted to drive this car, and that's ultimately why I sold it.

Appreciate all the well wishes and everyone who checked out the auction. Cheers!

Me too. I have Launch Edition #059 and I don’t car about the mileage.

Although I have too many cars but it’s still my fav to drive in the mountains. Over the GTC and Ford GT.

    You presented #33 very well.
