Very nice. Not so sure about the hood scoop....

It needs a targa top and then to be sold in the US through the new Fiat dealers.

The original Stradale is a true dream car.

I agree about the scoop. They say "rear-engine", but they mean mid-engine.

The car was presented this morning. Pictures available here: http://www.asphalte.ch/news/?p=1820

Amusingly, it has nothing AT ALL in common with the pictures leaked to the press in the past days. Not for the better in my opinion. The profile sags towards the back, the lines on the hood are cartoonish. The interior shots show what is supposed to be a carbon tub inspired from the Dallara-designed KTM X-Bow.

Weight is claimed to be sub-850kg (1873 lbs) which sounds ambitious, I hope it's not a meaningless "dry weight" as Ferrari and Lamborghini have gotten into the habit of communicating on. Power is said to be "higher than 200hp", but the exact same engine already makes 235hp in the Alfa Romeo Giulietta so 250hp sounds like a safe bet.

The good news is that Alfa is overtly saying that the 4C will be brought to market late 2012.

Wow. The new Alfas are on par with Aston Martin terms of design these days. I'm starting to become a fan of Alfa Romeo - all their new cars are hot with lots of cool details. Maybe I'll get one 159 as the next daily driver.

I like it and let's hope it comes here as an Italian alternative to the Boxster/Elise. It will be a great car to sell in the Fiat Studios, next to the 500 Abarth and a new Lancia Delta Integrale lol.....

I like the concept, the size and the proportions, but the styling looks like something from a 50-year-old futuristic Mickey Mouse cartoon. I think the horrible Photoshop in the article at the start of this thread looks better than the real thing.

And the matte finish fad is, well, a fad.

I liked the concept better, you could see the roots. The one in flat paint looks too cute.

Something looks odd with the shape, looks like it's too small, or not enough stretched or something.

It must be better in real i guess.

Its pretty obvious now that someone took an 8C and then just added a few Stradale details to make the photoshop. Even as bad as it was, it's better looking than the real thing. This has to be the most disappointing show car than Alfa has done in years. Even in Korea it would be considered "overdone".

They could do alot better. This looks like a Lotus with Alfa 8C taillights and modified front end. I hope they change those side scoops before production. Fire the guy who designed the details on this car. The overall concept is a very nice idea. One can only hope it looks better in real life.

    I don't recommend you that.
Or at least not before you tried to seat in the back seats.
Also avoid the 2.4 diesel and any gasoline engine. The diesel gives huge problems with the particulate filter and some other problems too.
The quality of the interior materials is often low.

About the 4C, I think it looks great.
There's been a lot of rumors about the final price and weight.
They both sound too low to me or at least they sound too low both combined...I think one of the two may easily be higher..
I am really curious about that.

Unfortunately, the real 4c looks NOTHING like that. What you're looking at is a photoshop of an 8C made to look like a Stradale.

There's a discussion going on down in the Italian thread. Most agree it's pretty hideous.

The Duetto Spider that was discontinued in 1994? Er, wasn't the Duetto only the 1600cc car in 66/67? I had a 66, great car.

Bob, that concept photo in the first section of the thread was beautiful, but not this thing.
