This car is just about fun. You don't worry about where you park it, you don't worry about mileage depreciation, you don't worry about what an oil change is going to cost you, you don't worry about which button changes the station on your steering wheel, and you don't worry about having to sell your children to pay your insurance bill.

It's raw and pure. That's good and bad. But in a sea of "same ol' same ol'" its stands out as being completely unique in the year 2017.

As long as you can put up with it's rawness, you can appreciate it's purity. But I could say the same for a Countach, which is actually slower by far.

Have you driven a supercharged Exige (220, 240, 260)? If so, how would you compare the two? I own an Exige, consider it pretty raw, but I am interested in 4c.

Probably really worth your time to go to a dealership and try one out. Those that appreciate the Lotus sports car formula are probably pretty good candidates for the Alfa.

What I find with this car is that some just don't get it--while for others it is a revelation. One really needs to try it--you will know pretty quickly I bet.

Someone else put it this way.

The Lotus is a race car for the streets

The Alfa is a mini supercar.

If you want extreme raw the Ariel atom is all yours.

When I turned in my Corvette C7 for the 4c, 90% of the people I knew said I was nuts. But it was the opinion of the 10% that I only cared about.

I'm guessing an adjustment on the alignment but not sure. My 09 Viper used to do the same thing when I got it, it was quite scary actually. Had an alignment done with slightly different specs and it changed it completely.

I would guess that too. I was looking for the specs.

My understanding is they started sorting it out once the spider came out. The 2016 spiders I have driven are also fine.

For good measure I hear it is a good idea to have the alignment checked and adjusted after purchase.

Picked up the car today. Very straight and stable, fully planted. No tramlining whatsoever even on roads with a bad crowning.

They really must have fixed something since the early reviews.

I also have a new 2016 Coupe, now with 288 miles on it! The tram lining has lessened as I have added a few miles on it but it still there.

I think "Mayor" captures the characteristics of the 4c experience well in his posts. And, the carbon tub and the car's curves are seductive.

What I found is that once the tires get a bit of wear, the darting effect on freeways becomes lessened.

Or maybe it's just that I got used to it! :)

The car I gave up for the Alfa was a Corvette C7 Zr1 with limited slip eDiff. I take the Alfa to my favorite places to let it lose (like a curving freeway onramp) and go "wow, that was fun". In the Corvette I would say "Holy sheez! I'm not doing that again!" :)

You can eliminate so much of the trammeling just by switching to Michelin Pilot Super Sports

You think the MPSS have a more compliant sidewall?

I received a nice owners packet from AR USA today. Leather luggage tags enclosed in a nice case, congratulatory letter from R Biglund etc. Nice touch.

Most definitely. They blow the Pirelli's out of the water all around. City streets and the track. It is just more predictable and stable. The feedback from the tire is much better.

My new wheels should be here at the end of the month. They will be the first set of Pogea Blades in the US. I'll ask if I can upload a pic.

Yes, they are wider. I have to hold off a month to post the pics of my wheels. I'll be able to post the specs of weight and width.

This is one of the publicity pics.
