for Europe at least... http://www.autoblog.com/2007/07/16/alfa-prices-the-8c-competizione-at-159k/ ANy update on the waiting list for us American hopefuls?
My guess is $350,000 US for North America. Wow, I didnt think it was going to be that much. Nice car though.
I've twice heard that the number of 8Cs comming to the US will be 90 and not 99 and it will carry an MSRP of approx $230k-$240k.
Hopefully they will bring as many as possible and I have a chance... The pricing should be around $150-175K not more... $230K puts it at the same price as a 430 Scuderia which a MUCH more car... The performance has been placed under the Ferrari's by corporate and the price should be in line with that strategy... We will see.. Napolis - any new info from your side? Will you attend the showing in Meadow Brook?
I agree with you on the pricing but like I already said, expect to see an MSRP north of $200k and total volume will be so small that demand will far exceed supply.
From autoblog: Befitting such a low volume car, it will command a commensurately high volume price. In Selwa's words, it will be "somewhere north of $200,000." http://www.autoblog.com/2007/07/31/alfa-romeo-returns-8c-competizione-in-america-in-2008/ The 2 newest Italian beauties sitting together: http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/07/img_8541-1.jpg
there are 5 8C's in total that are going to be there.... (are here right now... supposedly, one will be at the race track thursday)
Hopefully somebody will have video camera in hand to take some footage. I so wanted to be there, but business calls.

I love the 8C, certainly my favorite car since the F40. What is more, that beautiful commercial looks great and gets you stunned even without the car's music (engine sound). I was lucky enough to spend some time with the US-spec 8C prototype at the Nürburgring in Germany and even made some videos. The car sounds fabulous. I heard a rumour last year that Napolis will be getting such a car, is that true Jim?
Would love to see your Dues! I was fortunate enough to hang out with Jay Leno one day and look at his collection and workshop. No other car has the presence of a proper Duesenberg. I am not sure I can make it. Long haul from California, especially when I am not sure I can even order one Please fill us in and put in a good word for me... Enjoy the event.
There will also be a Spider version in 2009 when the final US-spec 8C's are delivered, so you would have a chance then.
I think you lose some of the beauty on the Spider. The coupe has such beautiful lines... Hopefully I will get allocation and can get one.... Napolis - ENJOY the weekend and report back. I will not be able to go...
