Hi Teej, Wonderful pics and colors. Your car looks absolutely beautiful. Green and blue are my favorite Montreal colors. Did you do the pics yourself? I would like to know how it is possible to have this black or grey background and that light. Is it a studio shooting?
Thanks. yes it's in my studio. teej.com if you care to see. Blue wasn't on the top of my list when I found this car but I fell in love with it when I saw it and the two tone blue interior - very 70s correct
Update. Tracked down the 1970 sales. Prizes are indeed on the up. A restored one is currently for sale on the Techno Classica, asking price 138K Euro.
Woaw! Where do you think this would put mine in terms of value? It is new, except that it is unrestored.
To be honest, the first thing I thought when I saw the price was, that's ridiculous. And looking at Anamera, prices seem to be all over the place, most of them having a pretty high mileage. 21339 premium cars for sale: Anamera Similar story on Autoscout, first restored one 89K. And a couple well above that: https://www.autoscout24.com/results?powertype=kw&ctf=1&ctf=2&version=montreal&mmvmk0=6&pricefrom=500&ustate=N%2CU&atype=C&page=2&size=20
Just fitted a new set of 205/70 14 Michelin XWX to my Montreal. Had a look at my tires and found them made 12 years ago. That is the hard way to notice how time flies by ... . I really enjoy the Monti and will surely continue to do so (no sale intention, not even at the present asking prices). What is thought to be the sense of a Pertronics "update" (see above)? The original system is electronic already and even easy to repair for an electronics guy, if blown. The points have very small current load only and the only "problem" is that due to this an oxide layer might build up over years. The only need is to clean the points using a 1200 grade emery paper and pull that through the points a few times. Oil would be a problem, naturally, but the design of the distributor seems to be such that this will not become an issue in this case. The only issue might be to properly set up the points, which needs to be done on a distributor stand, as the second circuit as to my knowledge has no marks on the flywheel. But the same would apply to two Pertronics pickups ....(?). Cheers, Bernhard

Congratulations with a very nice and very fascinating car. The first you should do is buy Bruce Taylors book «Alfa Romeo Montreal - The Essential Companion». It is a mythbuster and truly helpful for maintaining the car. And of course drive it a lot. I sure miss mine...
I thought some of you may enjoy this short video: "Alfa Romeo Montreal Driven Hard" ▶ 4:01 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trH-rBQ02Do
Thank for the tip..I will pick that book up for sure.. Hopefully all that I will need to do to it right away is to replace those awful black plastic side mirrors with the Marini Type ones..
Interesting point, all the 3 Red cars at Monterey have the large, rectangular Turn Indicators in the Front Fenders. Also the Amber Front Indicators below the Bumper. The Gold, Mike Kerns car has the small, round Turn Indicators in the Front Fenders and the White Front Indicator Lights. Mike, If you happen to see this post, hope you are planning on attending the Alfa Romeo Expo in Montreal, Canada this year. It is the 50th anniversary of the un-veiling of the Montreal at the 1967 World Expo.
Hi Karl, Just received your PM, thanks so much you are very kind.. Love Montreal, long flight from La LA land though.. Went to Montreal twice in one month to look a 2 cars for sale during the middle of the winter. It gets cold up there.. This anniversary celebration sounds great. Are you bringing up your car?
Yes, I am. BTW, there is a Gold Montreal being offered by RM Auctions at Amelia Island on March 10 - 11. Thought you would be interested to know. You may be surprised at the Estimated Cost!
Congrats. Beautiful car. The Montreal body has a lot going on visually, so I think it looks especially good in understated colors such as yours. I don't think I would love that color on a lot of other cars, but it is perfect on the Montreal. Truly a beautiful car.
Thanks Peter.. I just love this color for some reason.. I recently purchased an Espada that was originally this same color that I'm about to have painted.. Just love this car...
HI Gang, Am restoring one. A detail of the completely rebuilt rear axle. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Guys.. I have a question.. Still trying t get my car on the road.. I'm down to the AC blower.. We had to remove the dash unfortunately to get this out and found it to be very dirty with god know what? But glad we spent the time doing so. When the AC would be turned on we did have cool air trickling through but not at a high velocity. So just cleaning out the whole thing will probably work better now, but my question is, is there a better blower fan blower and blades to use in order to get better velocity? We are trying a few other manufactures now, but its very time consuming.. I will send pictures later.. Thanks for the help..
