Thought some of you guys would be interested in my new baby.
Especially all of you in the States where this is a very rare beast.
I've been looking for a new car for a long time, and looked at almost every car under the sun. Ended up buying one of my boyhood dream cars. Love it or hate you've got to admire it.

    Enjoy

If you want to learn more about Alfas best car of the last 30 years, this is the best place

Dang, that's too far. I'll PM you in a few months to see how your ownership is progressing.
I found some SZ on sale in Switzerland with very low mileage, 3200 and 1600 kms. If I go crazy, I might buy one in Spring 2007.

While I prefer the old SZ I would get a huge kick out of one of each. - George

While I think the SZ is one of the coolest modern Alfas ever made I wouldn't call the new ones 'caca'. They still have the Alfa soul; thankfully they're not at all like GMs!

Fantastic car Simon! Methinks it brings in more stares than any current Fcar, bar the Enzo...

Nizam, I'm calling Ron Lim to ask the whereabouts of the only ONE in Malaysia. Hopefully owner's selling....(LHD unit, heck they're ALL in LHD..)

It was...at one time. Only RM250k. Along with the direttore's Qport 4 2.8 for a measly RM138k! Always not having the wherewithalls when something 'interesting' comes along...

Simon, you're not planning to upgrade the engine (3.2lits/chips/cams etc..) or leaving it stock ? How's the gearchange? Any better than a 75's?

No plans for upgrades. A colleague has upgraded his SZ to 3.5 with hotter cams and the thing is terrible at tickover and low engine speeds. I like my cars original. Never drove a 75 but the 2nd gear is a bit notchy. Apparently a great Alfa 75 trait :)
