+1, i didnt know that thoose were also made for the 105 chassis bolt pattern. (I had 7,5x14 on a 116 GTV)
yup, 6 x 14's Melbers = pretty rare, and even rarer to find a set to acquire, but I was patient ...said it before, but having a fair number of boutique 'period correct' after-market wheel options for these vintage Alfa's is a real bonus! You can change the 'look' of your ride with a simple 'shoe swap' thanks for the kind comments - viva Alfa!
I have a set of those 7.5X14 on my 1750 GTV. They are a very tight fit and would not fit on my Duetto. Shankle used to sell them for Alfetta 116 4 bolt and 105 cars back in the 1980's. Very Italian looking, almost like Abarth wheels. Tom Tanner/Scale Designs/Ferrari Expo 2011-Chicago April 2011
Well it has its windows out right now for a repaint. Found out it was even more rust free than I thought when we took it down to bare metal !!. Maybe early next year I will have finished photos with the Shankle/Melber wheels. Tom Tanner/Scale Designs/Ferrari Expo 2011-Chicago April 2011
hello tommy they are very tight fit and poke out a little in front... but i would like a set anyhow to run with some mild non-gtam flares. they do look like period correct campy and cromadoras but are somewhat heavier. so if you ever want to part the melbers or trade for something...(ive got a ton of stuff some cool go fast 105 bits) i would be interested. im also looking for 7x14 mille miglias and 7x14 technomagesio for 105's i have no luck and being looking seemingly forever cheers HF

Some Zagatos are beautifu and some aren't but we all have different opinions. That Lambo was designed in 1964, maybe 10 years ahead of similar designs. Not my favorite either... Too modern looking, but what a wonderful car to drive. All the right noises and great power. Rich
My first was a Mario Andretti Edition Alfetta GTV-rear spoiler, Konis, Ansa exhaust, and red carpets. That was followed by a Bertone GTV. That was followed by a Duetto, and that was traded towards a new GTV-6. Every one of the broke my heart. Bobcor Alfa used to buy me a beach pass every summer, as I'd leave the cars to be worked on while I sunbathed in Belmar. They were all daily drivers. I needed a dipstick heater and a heating pad for the battery on the Duetto to get to work in the winter!
Cool pix, looks like the Corkscrew at laguna but the concrete at the left edge in the runoff area I don't recall ever seeing, maybe awhile back? Thanks for sharing! Jeff
Used to own a GT 2.0... sold it after 6 months. Just too much of a tarted up economy car. i.e. Fiat. The arese V6 version much, MUCH better. Unfortunately, Alfa has ZERO sportiness in it's latest cars. The Giulietta QV is less sporty then a Golf GTI for example... and the Golf is not sporty or fun at all. ALL coupes and Spiders are about to be axed and no GTA versions are planned. Either FIAT truly stopped caring or they are getting ready to sell Alfa to VW... I think both.
one of my all time favorite Alfa Spiders, the color/scheme, the 'big' melber wheels, just looks so perfect = wow! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Eric, are those Ruspa wheels on your Spider? Someone had asked if my Momo wheels were Ruspa's and YOURS actually look like Ruspa's to me? They and the car look gorgeous!
caught that same car @ RA. It's a beautiful car that must be a ball to drive... I suspect those wheels are automotive hensteeth and couldn't be more perfect on that car... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Now this has to be the funniest mix of Alfa and Ferrari I have ever seen. A grocery shopper The Alfa V6 does sound better that the Ferrari V8 in my opinion. Plus the 355 is kind of a problem child, but what a hell of a speed demon. http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/alfetta-gtv6-1975-1986/177447-alfa-355-a.html#post986964
I'm at a cross road with too many cars and a couple of pending restorations. I'm considering selling my damaged 72 GTV. It was hit in the left fender and will need the fender, possibly the door and a windshield. The car is bone stock other than the BWA wheels. It has minimal rust mostly around the windshield but floors and other panels remain solid... it is very restorable, or maybe I'll part it. I'm on the fence with this car so if there is interest, let me know. Thx
