Hi. I'm new to the Alfa world, currently own a Maserati GranSport. Saw a 1972 Alfa 2000 in my neighborhood for sale. Has 75k miles on it. Didn't come up with much on a search except for this thread which is terrific. It's not a collector car but appears to be in good shape. I would certainly have it looked at by a knowledgeable mechanic but hoped to get some impressions from owners and aficiandos like yourselves. Many thanks Image Unavailable, Please Login
I had a 1600 GTV for several years and have a good buddy (acthally two) with a 2000 GTV. Compared to a modern car such as a GranSport, the Alfa will be slow and noisy but with a charm and mechanical feel which no modern car can emulate. AlfaBB.com is a great resource. Buy one!
Mike, Hey. I just saw the thread again. No, the wheels on my car are old Ronal's. I just finished wet sanding and rubbing the car. Kinda saved the aweful old paint. Thanks!!!! Eric
Rumor has it that that a simular duetto (tons of history) is up for sale: Veloce Motors 5291 Concomly Road NE Gervais, OR 97026-9763 (503) 274-0064 Image Unavailable, Please Login
this color combination just nailed it in 1982, last of the series 2B's. A navy/bright blue leather interior, and 'sea foam green' paint, just stunning! All that is needed is a set of stainless bumpers and this is a sweet looking and fully functional daily driver! Image Unavailable, Please Login
June gloom in Southern California is a perfect time to use the Alfa as a commuter. I've been saving mine for Wednesdays- just works out best with my schedule. Great to wake up Wednesday AM and think that today's Wednesday- gonna drive the Alfa in to work Nice to feel her keys in my pocket all day knowing that I'll have a fun drive home. Thanks. When you're ready for a Giulia sedan, let me know- I knowof a two-owner car, timewarp, ex- Concorso car.
This is my little 1972 Alfa 105 Series 2000GTV. She is a tight light machine with a pretty good body and of course lots of fun to drive. The next addition to the garage will have to be a Ferrari! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well watched a perfectly boring movie last night, beautiful scenery but what a slow script... Anyways, saw part of a beautiful Alfa Romeo in one of the scenes. Would have loved to see more. Which model is it? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Fun to see all the Alfas out there. Here is our GTV6 Balocco SE... and a couple of its garage mates. I lend it to other drivers when we have outings with our local driving clubs. We get a mix from Astons, Lotus, BMW's, Jaguars to Maseratis, and by the end of the day the GTV6 is consistently voted "Most Fun To Drive"..
