Just popped up on FOX: Alfa Romeo to have eight-car lineup by 2018 | Fox News "Below is a rough outline for Alfa Romeos future over the next couple of years: 2014: 4C and 4C Spider to be launched. 2015: New midsize model to be launched, most likely the 159-replacing Giulia sedan. MiTo and Giulietta hatchbacks sold overseas to be discontinued. 2016-2018: Two new compacts, a midsize model, a larger sedan, two crossovers and a specialty sports car to be launched. 4C to be phased out." Interesting. I bought a 308 instead of the 4C. I may be glad I waited. Cheers, George
FOX misunderstood the product plan table completely. Have a look at the original PDF. They think an empty table cell means discontinuation: it doesn't, except for the MiTo, which will not have a replacement because Alfa is going to focus on segments C and up. http://www.fcagroup.com/investorday/PresentationList/Alfa_Brand.pdf
Until I see actual cars being sold, I just don't believe anything from Alfa anymore. It's been 3+ years of announcements and still no cars....WTF?
