What's impressive, at least to me by today's standards, is the curb weight at 850kg = ~1,873lbs. Seems very much a race car vs one that looks like one. http://www.zagato.it/pdf/TZ3Corsa_Specs_UK.pdf It sounds like it's a one-off car for a private collector according to the other press release on Z's site. Has anyone heard yet if they're building others?
Wow!! That is impressive. Does this weight include the safety features of airbags at every point of impact or for it being a one-off it is exempt from these weight gainers?
Found this on Autoblog. "Also like the originals, this is a legit racing car. Unlike its forbears, however, the new machine wears aluminum bodywork stretched over a tube frame and carbon-fiber chassis. Power, as indicated before, is also of thoroughly modern origin." http://www.autoblog.com/2010/04/24/alfa-romeo-tz3-corsa-unveiled-at-villa-deste/ Maybe someone who was at Villa D'Este this weekend can comment? I would guess it doesn't have street saftey gear but I'm also guessing it does have a roll cage built over the tube frame chassis. Speculation at this point. We'll know more though as the news streams out. The TZ2 is reported at less than 1,400lbs. All still very impressive.
Real photos of the car from the event http://www.omniauto.it/foto/popup/145167/alfa-romeo-tz3-corsa-a-villa-deste-2010
Its nice but an 8C looks better. It really is just a modern version of the TZ1 which also looks better.
Looks nice and looks right..... so probably will remain as a one-off. Would love to know what engine was fitted.... a Real Alfa V6 Busso, a FIAT or a Holden one? Regards, Alvaro.
http://www.autoblog.com/photos/alfa-romeo-tz3-corsa-live/full/#2929050 real life pictures, looks amazing if you ask me. reminds me of the breadvan,i love it
Nice looking front end. The rear is sort of a cross between a TZ1 and a new TVR. Cool car! Tom Tanner/Scale Designs/Ferrari Expo 2011-Chicago April 2011
I really really really REALLY love this car! More pics here: http://www.coachbuild.com/index.php?option=com_gallery2&Itemid=50&g2_itemId=47579
I like it too! Not a big fan of the decal reminds me of a Pontiac Trans Am, and the rims could use some help, but I understand it's a race car, so the rims get a pass. Zagato has done a great job.
disagree this is the best looking alfa from a LOT of time...STUNNING :-o it is really awesome imo yes, the 8C is nice but not something that takes your breath away.... i had an 8C spider side by side with my diablo roadster at bodyshop and the diablo looks way better
