    Guys,
    Can anyone tell me about vintage 8c's. I know there are 8c 2900MM which won the 1938 Mille millia, I know there is an 8c 2900A, etc. But what are the differences, and can anyone provide any more information on these cars racing alfa's?

    The 8C was built in short and long wheelbase models. The 2900A is the short wheelbase model.
    The 2900MM cars were tuned for racing and have different bodywork. The open wheel racing cars such
    as the 308 were also based on the 2.9 chassis with larger superchargers . A new book should be coming
    out on the cars later this year. The Author Simon Moore is a 2.9 expert.

    These cars are works of art and are considered the finest pre war sports cars by many collectors.

    Thanks I was recently as the Simeone museum and he has a couple of 8c's and I was curious to find out even more information about them. His 8c 2900 MM that won the MM was an awesome car to see.

    The Victory by Design DVD on Alfa Romeo is great for seeing and hearing the cars. The info will also let you tell the different versions apart and put them in context.

    You could just order a new one from the victorybydesign.com shop. But yes for a long time they were unavailable.

    That is amazing. I see Gordon Barrett's 2.3 Touring in one of the photos. His is one of the nicest.
