No sorry mate. He worked his entire 42 years at the Mines underground as a "plate layer". He used to lay and maintain the railway tracks underground. He and around 10 other guys. Very very hard workers. Alot of the old guys that still work underground tell me all the time, some of the unbelievable feats of strength that my dad accomplished the entire time he was down there. Always showing off I reckon. He is one of the toughest guys you would ever meet in your life. Very very strong. Even to this day, at 70yrs old, he is a hard old bastard. Thats why I love him.
If you ever worked underground, then you worked with my dad. Everyone knew him/still knows and remembers him very well. He started working underground in 1955 when they just started mining on 4 Level. All the way down to 21 Level in 1997 when he retired. His pay number was 3014. Mine is 67 097.
That was soooooooooo 26 posts ago....... They were not able to meet my requirements exactly, we can forget about them.
every thread i read these days seems to have a post from pap in it. He was handing out some technical advice about 355 F1 transmissions the other day
