The back looks easy enough. The front, do I need to remove the luggage tub to get to the lower a arm attachment bolts or are they accessable via the bottom of the car?

May I use standard alignment shims?

    Thanks,
    ken

    Hi Ken,

Yes, from underneath. Check your ride height first. Rake on a 355 is absolutely critical for high speed handling, as is the tyre size. The rear shims are as you say, you just need to remove the two underside venturis and I assume (I've never seen a LHD 355) the handbrake cable. Make sure the handbrake is not on when you remove it.

The front is adjusted from underneath. Remove the front undertray then the two oval rubber grommets which will give you access to the forks. When you check caster, make sure the shims are symmetrical in the hubs first, before you make any adjustments with wishbones.

The shims are the same used on cars 1971 on. If you use the shims with small insertion tang on them, be sure to foul the slot in the front chassis rail when the forks are tightened. Have fun.
