Indeed. I joined fchat 5 yrs before I bought my 308; spent most of that time reading most every thread in this forum.

 

The 308 Owner’s Manual is very well written. It has a lot of detail regarding the cars. It is available in pdf format from various sites.

The “Spare Parts Catalogue” is not a ‘read’ but has diagrams showing how every part is constructed. It is very interesting to browse. It is also available as a pdf.

 

You want carbs or fuel injection?

Or does it matter?

 

Somewhere in the archives, probably the very old archives, there was a thread & one post in particular that had a screenshot of assorted 308 books that are must-haves.

Beautiful nicely engineered machines. Having them or getting them in tip top condition is part of the love affair. Well ,,,,, that and driving them! You might go to eBay and start picking up every 308 book you can find. Lots of great ones from late 70's and early 80's. Most I recall are English publications. Best of luck in your adventure.
