Then it may just be Sprint..... found this http://sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=87094&page=3&pp=15
That sucks. Cingular is working fine. I use Cingular and I'm talking to another Cingular user right now.
From my mom's IT office: "The below mentioned fiber cut is responsible for the problems we are having with calls to and fro California. Other area codes in addition to 818 and 760 are likely impacted." "There has been a fiber cut in the Sprint network which is causing users to receive a 'fast busy' when dialing offices on the West Coast. ITS Resources are in contact with the vendor to determine the resolution. There is no ETR at this time."
No trouble with my Sprint phone - just used it 10-15 minutes ago... I did have some trouble getting through to account info, but I managed to get there after a few tries... Kind of ironic... The whole country is having trouble with their Sprint phones/service and, for once, I'm not... Go figure.
Verizon said an IP backbone is down, calls within the same carrier are working Ok, outside carrier calls may be affected, no ETA
I can not call Bentley in Mi and they can not call me. This is land based, but still having issues calling to the 248. They can call out to Flordia I know..but nothing to the west...strange
Alot of movies about the end of the world start this way... Usually, its a meteor....but sometimes, aliens take over. Be advised.
Nahh...not terrorists, but a crew of five illegal aliens and a backhoe with a Ford dually pick up truck............could cost million$$$$$$$!!! "Call, before you dig."
It's Skynet.... it's starting to take over all the world's networks. You have to watch the robots, give them an inch and they take a mile. It wasn't so long ago that we were busily debating 6speed vs. F1.... now the damn machines want the whole world!
Our sprint and cingular phones are fine and my T-Mobile Sidekick is working fine. I've been talking to people in Memphis and Atlanta both on Sprint all evening with no problems.
