I'm loving this thread. Great work!
Bring them on!!! Can't wait to see more of your stuff. Tom Tanner/Ferrari Expo 2012-Chicago March 2012
Here is one I made starting with a Fujimi 348 kit and using the out of production Scale Designs transkit and decals. It is the 1994 Lemans Repsol Ferrari 348 Competitione. Tom Tanner/Ferrari Expo 2012-Chicago March 2012 Image Unavailable, Please Login
hi tom, I did this 348 also on a fujimi kit but at that time there is no transkit and decals yet, how many 1/24 ferraris have you built?
Not nearly as many as you. Maybe 35-40 over the years. I have built more 1/43rd Ferrari's than 1/24th(I built alot of them for several collectors, but not anymore as I don't have time). I also build other Italian with many Alfa Romeo and Maserati models along with Aston Martin, Porsche ect. I build 3 scales now including 1/43rd, 1/24th and 1/12th scale. Tom Tanner/Ferrari Expo 2012-Chicago March 2012
my target is an average 12 per year, already done more or less 20 years concentrating only on 1/24 ferraris, is a great pleasure to see the collection growing
The efforts you have made for ferrari are really unforgettable. The various car models that have been presented in the thread are very nice.Everyone wants to have them in their collection.
hybrid model! tires, front nose and rear end from the plastic hotwheels and the midldle section from revell f2007, i think this was one or the last ferrari that aero dynamics devices on the car reach to its peak compared to the simpliest f60, i counted, while building, that horizontal and vertical aero has more or less 100 parts! coz i'm bit lazy of cleaning air brushes, i paint all my ferraris with can spray paints, after some experiments i found the closest metalic red for this f2008, tamiya metalic red ts-18 as base then a light coat of mr. hobby clear orange 49, bingo! i'd try with the clear red 47 on a 250pf while doing experiments, as u can see in a photo. Great looking model. I bought the Hotwheels 2008 car also and was suprised the body was not that bad. One thing I did like about the hotwheels was the carbon fiber texture on the parts. The Revell kit is also good, but their decals are wonderful. Tom Tanner/Scale Designs/Ferrari Expo 2012-Chicago March 2012

Great looking models, the 512S turned out very well. On the 512S, the early production Fisher 512 kits tires did not have treads. The newer ones do have really nice Firestone treads. He also added good photoetch to all his kits. As for limited edition kits a lawyer would have a hard time winning if they only made a couple hundred, no matter what some people say on this website. They use scare tactics more than anything. A case has already been settled for limited edition "art objects" in the USA. Tom Tanner/Ferrari Expo 2012-Chicago March 2012
newer resin kit from fisher, as tommy said it comes with rubber tires, i built it straight from box. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
