    Hello, I live in the UK and in the winter the roads can be a bit damp with temperatures just a bit over freezing. Do any of you run all season tires in winter months? Which would you recommend? How does the car drive in terms of having fun in winter conditions with all season tires? Thanks

    If you’re going to bother swapping tyres for the winter months, why not go the whole hog and put full winters on?

    Most of the requests for info on all seasons come from people who want to keep one set of tyres on all year round.

    All season tyres have come on leaps and bounds with the latest generations and are a viable option for ‘normal’ cars but their performance envelope is still too limited for high performance cars.

    We put winter tyres on our FF and I suspect that if Michail Antonio had done the same on his Lusso, he wouldn’t have ended up like this;

    I have a summer wheel set with Michelin pilot sport 4s

    And a winter/all season wheel set. With continental DWS all season.

    I don’t drive in heavy snow but it’s good enough for some snow and I can drive it until April when I change to summer rims/ wheel and want go on track as well.

    I didn t want to drive winter/ snow tires from November to April and thought it was best all weather solution.

    Have been doing this setup for many years on f12 in ohio where it gets to freezing in Feb and March and rain/snow in Dec January and April too.

    Thanks for the feedback. I would never drive in snow or slush. I am mainly looking for improvemed traction in temperatures just above freezing and potentially wet roads. But certainly, I completely agree that I'd go full winters for snow.

    That sounds like a good setup. Are the all season tires much better than the summer tires in cold wet? And can you have a fun spirited drive in the winter? Thanks

    That conti DWS is a solid choice. I have them on the DD and for a couple seasons so far do the job well. Edges are soft and not sure how they do on a relatively heavy car but really hard to beat in all weather.

    The dws are great in exact weather and very good in the wet and cold. Spirited driving for sure. But they wear quicker. Tireracks comparison on their site is pretty spot on for high performance all season. DWS was rated best. Especially with colder and wet conditions.

    i run michelin pilot sport all season 4 on my F12 year round. drives great they are essentially 90% of the PS4Summer but with better snow/ice by around 50%. wet is about the same. just don't track them the compound is softer for cold weather and melts faster under track conditions.

    Thanks everyone for the great advice. I'm looking to purchase an 812 and now I know that with proper all-season tires that I can still enjoy it when it's cold wet outside.

    I have 2 sets of wheels, 1 with Michelin pilot sport 4s, and 1 with continental DWS06 extreme contact. I put the conti’s on around October and take them off around May. I drive around 8,000 miles per year in my 812, including through the wet Seattle winter months. I think if I can get Michelin pilot alpin’s when my DWS set wears out I’ll do that. I had them on my GT350 and really liked them in the winter

    And the Conti DWS make a big improvement in the Seattle cold wet weather?

    I’ve noticed it improves some of the slip when taking a turn from a stop. Like when I’m turning at an intersection with the painted crosswalk stripes.
