About a month or so ago, every so often when I started up the 2017 488 that I’ve had for just under two years, it would cycle through all the warning lights going off and then stay in wet mode, brake light would stay on, stability control warning light would stay on, and usually the very last warning light that it cycled through would stay on, typically the E differential one. Sometimes this would happen even when I was driving. The car still operated fine. And, of course, the next time I started it up, it went away.

Aa a four-year owner of a Ferrari FF, This is usually is an indication that it’s time to swap out the battery. This bothered me because Ferrari Scottsdale put a new interstate AGM battery in the car prior to delivery. So this battery was not even two years old. Unlike The FF, I know that 488s don’t eat batteries than the same way. That said, I went out and purchased a replacement battery of the same type and swapped it out. BTW: Ferrari makes changing out batteries such a pain in the ass.

At any rate, a couple weeks after the battery swap out, the same light show started showing up again. Sometimes on start up, and sometimes while you’re just driving down the road. I would say this occurs about once every five or six startups, and of course goes away after you restart the car the following time.

I will run out to my mechanic when I get back from vacation in a couple of weeks and have him hook up to the Leonardo. But, before he can do that, my FF will be towed out there because of a significant gearbox oil leak. And, of course, I just got done paying to have the PTU rebuilt on the FF last month. The FF has basically been out of service now for three months in a row.

Your wiring may have melted near the rear exhaust. That's what happened to me.

Could be the NVO board on the steering wheel, especially if there is any weirdness with the turn signals or steering wheel LEDs lighting up. Or a wheel sensor, brake switch ... Frustrating. My 458 did the error cascade after being on the factory tender for a couple weeks without being driven (year old Interstate battery), the errors would recur until I cleared the various faults and it has been fine the last dozen starts. I bought an AG battery but haven’t installed it yet.

Any past and current mods on the car? Check all wire runs and the other things that @vjd3 @hirohawa mentioned. Sorry about your FF...man those cars scare me!
