I wonder if somthing like this happening was ever taken into consideration. What if he walks away with 3 million or somthing. I'll bet they will put a stop to him by comming up with some kind of "rule" stating that he can only win a certain amount of money of be a contestant for a certain length of time. But a damn good way to make a living!!

It's all great publicity for Jeopardy. I bet his winnings are a fraction of the profits they will make with renewed sponsorships. In the big world of media, he's not making that much money. Weren't all those Friends castmembers making like 5 million an episode or something, EACH?

The rule used to be that you win 5 and you are gone. They recently got rid of this rule and now they have this. Kind of cool if you ask me - are his episodes running now? Maybe I will try to catch one sometime this week.

Besides... Jeopardy is not LOSING any money AT ALL. Somebody always walks home with the money each night. It just happens to be going to the same person now. This is the best thing that they could probably hope for. Actually, it's all TOO convenient...

    hmm... conspiracy theories maybe? :)

The guy knows a lot and he's quick on the button, but it's amazing how often he simply guesses at the questions - I don't think he's necessarily smarter than most of his opponents, he's just better at the game. Nothing wrong with that.

    What is... 2,006,300 U.S. dollars?

(total winnings as of October 25 airing)

    I'd say he's on a roll.

yea thats impressive, today he introduced himself as a game show contestant who sometimes works as a software engineer. I found that somewhat amusing, it could be years before this guy loses.

IMO he would be a great replacement for Trebek when that day finally comes.

I've read a few places that he loses with around 2.5 million. I figured it out and based on his average winning of 32k per episode, he's got about 15-17 episodes left. But that's only going by what I read.

"Money won so far: $2,006,300, thus breaking the $2-million barrier."

WOW! Is there anything he doesn't know?

Yep, I also read that he has already lost. He was also a judge or coach I believe of a school academic/quiz team so he had some familiarity with trivia questions. His streak is/was amazing!

Was off by 1. He lost on the 74th show. I even got the final question right, Was surprised he did not
Jennings was tripped up in Final Jeopardy by this answer: Most of this firm's 70,000 seasonal white-collar employees work only four months a year.

The correct reply: "What is H&R Block?'' But Jennings guessed Federal Express, ending his remarkable run as the biggest winner in TV game show history with a haul of $2,520,700.

He missed quite a few questions. I was really surprised when he missed Bastogne in the "Patton" catagory. That one miss alone (on a Daily Double) cost him enough to put the game away (a $10,000 swing).

And for some reason the first round was played really slowly, like they were trying to break his rhythm. The Seinfeld catagory was glacially slow.

    He was fun to watch.

My $100 bet is that this guy was only a 'Plant' by the Jeopardy management to boost their ratings. It was all staged any everyone fell for it. This will probably leak out in a year and William Hung will come out with a hit song about it!
