I just purchased a set of alloys for a 308 on ebay the set is missing one centre cap.

For some reason could not post a photo with width of the cap from behind. The diameter of the centre cap hole on the alloy wheel is approx 2.75 inches or 7 cm.

The centre cap has the number 7035 in the inside (just about visible in photo below)

The wheel hub itself has the following markings in the centre at the back.

    Made in Japan S.W

    P.C.D G3600A

I do not believe this wheel has been in production for 20 - 30 years.

Pictures below provide the details any suggestions as to where I might source one or a similar set?

    All suggestions welcomed.

    Cheers

    Tom

Unfortunately the wheel has not been made in 30 years, Japanese Import I believe.

The wheel itself has the following markings in the centre.

    Made in Japan S.W

    P.C.D G3600A

Cannot see a brand on the wheel.

    Looking for something similar.

There must be others out there with BBS type wheels

If you look at my profile you can see a similar wheel. They are not BBS.
A couple of the caps have the mounting flanges damaged and need to be kept
in with sealant. I would love to replace the caps with something with
a more contemporary look. Let us konw what you find.

What about the manufacturer of the wheels? When I had the compomotive split rims on mine they were very helpful in helping me source replacement caps after some were stolen outside my twins junior school.
I had to do the Ferrari insert myself though.

Wheels are so old cannot find manufacturer.

Have copied photos of marks on the wheel, anyone recognise them?

Man, Tom that's a tough one... I have a set of obsolete Etoile's and someone found an alternate center cap that just happened to fit the opening!

Maybe that would be your solution......

I am not overly concened with getting an exact match just something that is close.

I have tried a few people in UK and Ireland and believe it or not I cannot find anyone that has even a close match.

I may have to get out a plastic molding kit yet! :)

Just in case anyone knows of something close.

The diameter of the cap hole in the alloy wheel is 2.75 inches or 7cm.

The depth from the part of the cap that rests on the surface of the alloy to the lip of the snap retaining ring is 3/8 inch or approx 9 mm.

The cap protrudes out approx 3.5 cm or approx 2.5 inches form the hub.

    FWIW...

I found some round mirrors...you know the kind old guys sick on top corner of their truck mirrors to provide a "panoramic" view....

I found them at a Super Sams, and they fit directly into the center cap of my Gotti's (soon to be trashed), but overall you may want to look into somethign like that if you are not concerened with OEM.

The mirros I found appear to be way to small for the center caps you have, but if you are simply looking for soemthing to fill the void in the center of the cap look for something simliar.

If nothing else, you could find a hole saw the diameter of what you need to fill the cap, cut some plastic or sheet metal circles and adhere some Cavalino's to them and then glue the whole assembly into the cap

    Good luck!

Try contacting HRE Wheels in Oceanside or Vista CA. They buy the Ferrari wheel caps and have to modify them to fit their own wheels.

I have just bought a resin moulding kit so I will be trying to manufacture one myself in a couple of weeks.

If it works I might be pursuaded to do a few more for any other Fchatters that are missing or have damaged similar caps.
