Back in the day, for me it was a "one way" then 1276 miles, fuel, food and BR breaks only. Except for getting lost in the South Bronx, heavy rain and snow.
Glad you got your car. The Ferrari experience will be way better than driving the 'bug'. Unfortunately, I live in an area where most Ferrari owners (if they drive), are blocking traffic doing 5 under. When these guys get together...... the guy with the lowest miles wins. When I ran the Ferrari club, these characters couldn't grasp that I would rotate and DD a 308, mondial t, 348, TR, F40 and a CS. If you are just going to sit and look at it, you may as well get a model and put it on your desk. Service costs re less! You posted that 296 engine is winning races. It is. However the race cars don't have the hybrid system. McLaren is the same with the Artura. It's a hybrid in road form and hybrid ditched in the race cars.
Although it has switched. Now Porsche guys talk about how "sick" their "spec" is. And talk about deviated stitching and nonsense
When I got my first gt3 we all tracked like 95% of us. But when the 997.2 came out the deviated stitching guys started appearing. I didn’t understand how these guys wouldn’t take their cars to the track. Then when they got their cars they complained on how noisy the car was and their wives hated the cars. I would say “wtf did you think you were buying?” It’s a Track car not a quilting bee entry where you match your seat belts to deviated stitching! I think that’s when I started drifting away from the Porsche crowd. Here in Idaho most guys like putting on miles because the driving season is a tad shorter. But it’s not too bad in SW Idaho
