I clearly remember the day I got my first application in the mail from the AARP.

TWICE in the last 30 days I've been asked "so what's your transition plan?"

    ugh..

If ordering coffee when using a fast-food drive -thru, always refer to it as a "senior" coffee, as it's typically only a buck. You won't see in on the outside menu board, as most seniors park and eat inside.

Getting your first unsolicted AARP card and welcoming letter in the mail is one of those little mile-stones of life, telling you that you are now middle-aged. Next big letter in the mail, would be your first social security check! Although, in reality, 7 or 8 years from now, paper checks would be a thing of the past.
