    Hey guys,

Thought I'd post a small update of how I've been getting on with the car. Below are some before and after images of where I am now. Almost all of the mechanical work is completed just a few minor items to work on. I've had a few new issues to deal with now but all minor and should be completed by the end of the summer.....if the heat in this place doesnt kill me first LOL

While I had the door panels off I regreased all the windows but it only made a small different so I'll need to check over the wiring again to see what I can find failing that I can live with it.

Before's are on the left. Sorry about the different lighting and angles.

So just a lazy tacho, electric glove box button and the AC to fix and then on to the body work to get it perfect. I have given up for now trying to find a mint original steering wheel complete with horn and surround.

    Fantastic! it's a great thing you're doing. A TR doesn't need makeup! it's not a Lambo... :)

I see more and more of these cars going back to stock. You are doing a great job.

    Good job Craig!

I had a tach that would get lazier and lazier the farther I drove. Turns out the little electronics behind the gauge were fried. I had a local speedo shop replace the circuit board and replace all the lights for under $200.

RE the glove box, is it the switch or the is the motor in the glove box dead? Sometimes people place things on the center console while driving and continually presses the switch...... burns out the motor.

Wow - isn`t it amazing what ppl think is a good idea at the time, you just wonder what they were thinking - but at the end of the day it was their car so their choice.

    You`re doing a great job!

Mine wasn`t very stock when I bought it either - and it almost felt like I was cheating when buying it. Once back to stock though you just think wow - I`ve got a real Testarossa after all!

Keep at it, it looks like the hardest bits are done :)

    Dom.

Thanks guys! As Dom says yesterday after puting it back together was the first time I stood back and thought ah now I have a Testarossa.

@Christian - I have no idea if its the switch or the motor I've not even looked yet but will soon. I doubt there will be anyone competent enough to get my tacho fixed over here and it may be cheaper just buying a new one. Going to do the AC next so I can drive it during the day without melting away lol.

It's a good thing that you're doing. I wonder what was going on in the mind of the person who applied all of those red highlights in the first place ... on second thoughts, I don't want to know!

    Keep up the good work.
