Another great ALMS event this weekend at America's best road racing track. The race is today. Everything looks so green now!!

On the cars, I noticed the Corevette's have cutouts behind the rear wheels and new flares on the front. It looks the same but is all new!! The Vipers were off the pace. The Lotus Evora, the same car that ran at Lemans last year was very good in the braking zone. The team says they will try to get a second car and more power for next year. They did beat a few GT cars including the Vipers in qualifying. I think I counted 7 GT cars less then a half second apart on their times!!!The Muscle Milk car sounds almost as good as last year even with a completly different motor. I include the Lotus drivers photo. They gave a nice tech session for the fans on Friday. If you ever have a chance get up to RA as it is an amazing track, and I have been to almost all the road race tracks in North America. It's still very fan friendly unlike the newer tracks and it looks like a European track.

It's streaming live now on ESPN. Dyson is leading. GT is still close with the Porsche leading by less than a second.

Here is the whole race. Good to see they are putting them on their website now. Great finish, the closest in ALMS history. The drag race from final turn 14 up the hill is great.

    it was a phenomenal race.

between the occasional great finish in P1, the frequent good battles in P2 between Level 5 and Conquest, and the epic slug-fest that is GT, I can't believe these guys don't have a proper TV contract.
