I thought they did a pretty decent job. But as stated before, they were off on some of the commentary with some of the footage. I don't know! After actually being there and not getting to see everything from my vantage point (Turn 11/Pit Gate), I don't mind seeing highlites and driver/team interview footage. Just get the commentary right and don't show footage from a different race.

The approach is good, just needs fine tuning.

Evidently, it's not cost effective for ALMS to buy 6+
hours of air time to show the race live.

A lot of times, live isn't always the best thing for endurance
races. Recalling the Group C days when ESPN showed
tape delayed broadcasts of those races and no body
complained especially when the minuta is edited out
and presented cohesively. Filtering down a 6-24 hour
race to 1-2 hours isn't all bad.

Looking forward to Le Mans but cringing at the thought
of another "Hindy" Radio Le Mans/World Cup simulcast
as he watches the footballmatches out of the back of his
head and throws nothing short of an on-air bizerk when England
scores a goal as in '06.
