I was there, in the Corvette Corral. The BMW's seemed to find a good pace in the dry but they were nowhere in the wet. I was in turn two and could hear them having one hell of a time getting the power down. Risi looked pretty good, if not a bit off last weekend. They are gonna have a hard time with the Flying Lizards.

The lap times reflect the use of the chicanes at the uphill and west bend. My World Challenge BMW turns low 59's using the original course layout.

The chicanes really slow the cars down - especially the chicane at west bend. It must cost them 5 seconds a lap. Those cars really fly.

The Corvette sounded terrible compared to the BMW's, Ferrari's and Porsche's.

Watched on TV. Very fun race to watch. Lots happening throughout the entire race. Finally play out at the end with drive-through penalty vs right rear blow-out...wow.

I cold not find the NASCAR Sprint Cup lap times on line anywhere. Did anyone see how they compare to the ALMS lap times?

Try searching for NASCAR Whelen Modified or NASCAR K&N Pro Series East as the Sprint Cup series doesn't race there.

Stock cars (Nascar North Series) race on a different course configuration than the ALMS cars. Sprint Cup doesn't run or test there.
