Great pictures especially the race cars that are lifting a wheel off the track! Which car sounded the best? How did the Audi R8 look in person? CH
Its hard to say which sounded the best as all of them have very unique and spectacular sounds. I honestly couldn't get enough of them all. The R10 has some of the most beautiful lines ive seen in a long time on a modern day race car. Although my stock subaru probably puts out more noise then it does. I was standing right behind it when it started in the pre-grid area and i didn't even know it was started.
Here's some I took yesterday. Not a whole lot of individual car photos as I have a bushel basket of them - just selective ones from this race . . . Sounds - yes, you can identify the cars by the sounds - the Vettes and Panoz - loud V-8's, Ferraris - Tubi, R10 - "rush" sound (much quieter than the 908 diesel), when the Astons run - definitely different . . This was the most exciting of the ALMS races we've been to this year. Carol #12 - Autocon Creation/Judd (took 3rd in P1) Flying Lizard #44 Interior #44 - got "tour" of car - learned much about everything inside! PWL before the race (complete with two sets of lights, two outside mirrors, no bumps or bruises) #8 - BK Motorsports - Lola B07/46 Mazda Flying Lizard trying to get to grid - limo not in race! was for the couple that got married at the track (think it was the 07-07-07 thing that was big in LAS) Risi pit area from track view Allan's gear Dindo and Allan just before we had to leave the grid View from fence across to hillside (just in front at bottom of hill is where Herta drove the #26 AGR into the "swamp" GT2 winner - a little worse for wear (van Overbeek/Bergmeister) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
