Michael - I'm sure you have a photo somewhere of the WINNER of the Atlantic race! - Simona De Silvestro - won by 11.7 seconds.

I suspect an Acura 1-2-3. The race will be in the GT2 class.

Race starts at 2:15 local - live timing on www.imsaracing.net

Sounds like a first lap crash fest. Sounds like perhaps a cone on the course caused some grief??

Ya, I always hate hearing "the number 62 Ferrari is off the track!" Good call on the 1-2-3 :)

looks like you and I are the only ones around this afternoon! watching the Grand-Am race on Speed - looks like a "run-away" race for deFerran - #62 gaining a bit, perhaps we'll see more when Pierre pits and Jaime takes over - great race for Marino, great guy

    Carol

#12 proto has loose side pod; Ford GT has some problem and the #62 is UP TO THIRD ! ! ! ! ! ! yahoo...

Hehe yep. I'm listening the best I can while taking calls at work. ;) I have the Grand Am recording at home. I love Laguna Seca. I'll catch the replay of the ALMS race tonight.

Glad to see #62 moving up!

do you think that ALMS will do any sort of competition adjustment for the Ginetta Zytek running hybrid? sounds like there was some sort of little occurrance with that car and another prototype?

can Brabham catch Pagenaud now? hoping that Henzler can make up the 11 secs and pass #45

WOW - Guy Cosmo's best time in the GT3 Challenge class is only .921 slower than the Ford GT right now!!!

BETTER YET - Guy was just 1.046 faster than the Ford GT ! !

Good question about running the hybrid. I'd assume it would take a race or two before any action is really taken or imposed.

I think Pagenaud is safe unless something happens. I didn't hear if either of them go tires last stop.

I do think Melo will catch up and pass within 6-8 laps, but the pit time will definately come in to play there.

He's still lapping 1 sec or so faster so he should be ok if he has to pit, especially if he can keep the tires. I'd hate to see them lose a podium in the pits. I missed the last 10 or so minutes :( I'm excited to actually be able to watch this.

I figured on an Acura 1-2-3 but Marino and Butch are really giving it to Fernandez - the race is definitely P2 today!

    Great for Risi...

Great rebound for Risi for sure..... and Pagenaud - what can you say about him - we watched him last weekend at Spa in the Peugeot and now a repeat in a petrol car, Gil has an awesome teammate - he's Peugeot's secret weapon for the 24 hours

Gosh, it's already 6 pm and the Speed Report is on....won't say anything about the Grand Am race since you recorded it

    BIG race next weekend - Nurburgring 24 Hours ! ! !

Ya, I'm excited for Nurburgring...or as my wife calls it, the Nerd-herd-ring. :)

I should be in the same place next week. Take care.

I can't wait to see the R8 racing. I'm in the process of converting a 1:18 Maisto R8 into that racer. (been on it for months, need to get back to it. :) ) I always root for the Audis.

I didn't know they did the whole 14 mile loop for this race, that will be awesome!
