    Re Alonso dissing Hamilton's 4th title - not because it was not deserved, but because the competition from Ferrari faded after the break - he also had great things to say about Hamilton. Obviously he doesn't share the prevailing opinion here that Hamilton is a selfish slacker who can't drive a less than perfect car... :p

    It was a joke. Nothing more.

    Not hoping for him to be a back marker… far from it.

    I'm not an Alonso fan,… but I'd prefer him to be in a fast car. But,… If that car blows up with 3 laps to go… all the better!

    Lucky Elton, he really had it easy this season. He didn't even have to have someone crash on purpose just so he could win a race. Yes, I can see why Alonso thinks Elton had it too easy.

    I have to agree with you. What fair is fair. Elton won because he deserved it. Much faster and much more reliable (proven this season) car than Ferrari.
