    Just reading an interview with Alonso in AutoBild. Two interesting quotes:

    "I have no clue how long I will be driving in F1 [...] All these factors [motivation, fun] will play a role when I'm thinking about extending my contract. If I continue, then only with Ferrari."

    "Every great champion must drive for Ferrari, if he has the possibility. That is also valid for Sebastian. [...] Seb and I in one team? Why not? [...] I think we respect us both very much and it would be good for the team if we both drove together."

    This is preposterous! According to the internet, Alonso vetos anyone but Massa because he is scared and he and Santander tell the team what to do. Anyone other than Massa in the second seat at Ferrari is impossible because that would mean throwing their career away because Alonso is too scared to let anyone compete with him.

    Clearly BS.

    Two world champions in one team just doesn't work. Alonso is not scared of Seb, it's just that as a champion, you want to know that the team is behind you 100% in all scenarios.
    Could you imagine them coming on the radio saying to Seb saying "Fernando is faster than you?" These pairings almost always end in disaster. And the same goes for Seb accepting anyone other than a number 2, regardless of what they say.

    +1. It would be great to see him school Vettel,... the way he walked all over Hamilton. :rolleyes:

    Never going to happen. Alonso has matured during his time at Ferrari,... but he's not going to risk his reputation by entering a fair fight.

    What gave you that impression?

    My take on that season was that newcomer Hamilton had been a thorn on the side of Number One double WDC Alonso, mugging him all the way and depriving him of the title Fernando thought would be his.

    To me, that was Hamilton's best season, never repeated since.
    It also gave me a negative opinion about Alonso, unable to cope with a strong Number 2, and throwing his dummy out of the pram when Ron Dennis refused to give orders for Hamilton to yield.
