http://www.f1complete.com/content/view/10348/1/ Alonso may return to McLaren? Monday, 22 September 2008 Sep.22 (GMM) Fernando Alonso has refused to rule out re-joining the McLaren team in the future. Less than a year after his acrimonious split and contract termination with the Mercedes-powered team, it is clear that McLaren is not among the Spaniard's options for 2009. "I am someone who never says something is impossible," the 27-year-old former double world champion is quoted as saying by Spanish press, "but a lot of things (at McLaren) would have to change." It is widely believed that Alonso's personality clash with his 2007 teammate Lewis Hamilton was a crucial element to his failed McLaren tenure. "I never had problems with him directly. He is a driver I respect," he insists. "It is true that we did not get on very well, but it was more the team's fault and how the bosses handled it. "I respect him because, in only his second year, he is doing a very good job. He is a good driver and there is nothing more to say," Alonso added.
Translation: Hey, whomever is willing to throw a lot of money at me I'll take a look at it. I've only got so much time to make bank at this game.
He is either frightening Ferrari to sign him up quick, or becoming desperate. In one breath he say's his x bosses didn't do there job right, by that I would mean by not making him #1 driver, and he maybe right, but then he would expect them to take him back on..
he's a crazy fella, isn't he... soon we're gonna see 'Alonso heading to STR?' after all, Never say Never..
Yeah, and I am not ruling out me having a one-night stand with Carmen Electra either but there's one eentsy-weentsy little thing missing from that plan, just like is missing from Alonso's... and that is desire and consent of the other party. I'm sure to Alonso, McLaren doesn't look so bad right now... too bad for Alonso that they already have a superior driver in Hamilton... and for Fernando to say "a lot of the problems were with the bosses, and a lot of things would have to change there" is like me telling Carmen that I'm willing to consider a date with her, but I'm going to need her to pick up the tab, and assurances I'll get lucky, and I get to flird with her friends while we're out. Wishful thinking indeed.
Honestly I feel sorry for Alonso. He is just becoming desperate now to say I would go back to McLaren, it's a bit disgusting. He values winning more than self pride because he's just hurting. I bet he has night mares of the time he was at McLaren.
