In England when someone says someone has a dose, they mean they have contracted syphillis...... so are you proposing Alonso has a ‘dose’ and therefore, as we know that disease causes mental health issues, that that is why he stated what he stated? Not me, I think he is deflecting criticism, by suggesting Elton is one of the greatest ever, he makes himself look better as he has beaten him on many occasions.... each to their own though

 

Dose = does but you knew that anyway... Hamilton had been lauded by anyone who's opinion counts as the greatest driver of this generation and inthe of the greatest of all time... Sorry but there's nothing you can do about that.

Your guy gets transferred to a team you don't like, a new guy comes to your team, put on the team shirt and all of the sudden he's the man! It's not about any one person, it's about what uniform/laundry they are wearing.

 

If Hamilton was driving for Ferrari, I'd still be suggesting he man up a bit, but I would be elated if he won a WDC with us.

 

Lewis is champion (again), MB will be constructor's champion (again) and the butthurt on here over this sure is amusing. BTW the guy who needs to man up is named Vettel. We'll see if he can do that- next year.

I'm a Ferrari fan too but would take Hamilton in a heartbeat. All the "Elton" crap is just that. I don't care if the guy has pink hair and wears a tutu. It's what he does in the car that counts. And what Hamilton does in the car is nothing short of amazing. I'd take Hamilton, Riccardo, Verstappen or others over Vettel any day of the week. Hamilton's Singapore pole lap reminded me of what Ayrton did at Monaco. Very few drivers of that caliber have ever been around.

No chance of ferrari hiring the moron, they’ve confirmed that and so has he..... if he joined ferrari, then I would root for however his teammate were, but I would still not root for him. You guys don’t seem to understand, I’ve met him, spoken to him, and I know the story of him from the guys in the paddock.. I could never ever change my mind on him knowing what I know, I prefer my hero’s to actually be heroes, like Senna and Schumi, that weren’t just fast drivers, they were able to drive ANYTHING to a victory and made rubbish cars beat the best cars. Elton has NEVER shown any of that extra level of greatness. His supporters also put me off, I could never be like them, with their blind hatred of ferrari and excuses for every single mistake he makes, he has a rather specific type of person rooting for him

 

Just as well he’s not ever been asked then isn’t it. I’ll remind you, I spoke to some in the know at ferrari not all that long ago, and the Italian words used to describe Elton’s persona and attitude were not complimentary, and were the reason ferrari had never considered him. That hasn’t changed.

You may hope for his whinging, moaning, disruptive prescence at the team I love, but thankfully, the team isn’t falling for it

What's obvious is that someone knows very, very little but thinks they know it all. And convinces no one.

 

It's pretty easy to win championships when you're in the best car - as Hamilton has had for his 5 championships. I firmly believe anyone of 5 drivers would have won as well had they been fortunate to be driving the MB including: Alonso, Vettel, Ricciardo, Verstappen and even Raikkonen. Roseberg has proven that. In the early days when Schumacher first joined Ferrari, he was winning races in a car that wasn't the best - but strictly due to his driving talent. Schumacher played a big role in developing the Ferrari to become the dominant car it was. I don't think you can say that about Hamilton. If all goes well, he wins - when it doesn't he complains on the radio - "what happened? or How did that happen guys?" Just one guy's opinion.

 

Lewis didn't have the best car this year or in 2008.
If its easy to win championships in the best car why has Webber, Barrechello, Bottas, Fisichella, and others not won?
