Sounds like he isn't the only driver that feels that way according to the article.

Possibly a precursor for F leaving as FA is probably headed to wherever they're going?

    I bet he does.....

Fernando Alonso and Luca di Montezemolo are apparently planning to meet at the Le Mans circuit this week, where practice for the famous 24 hour sports car race began on Wednesday. Ferrari president Montezemolo, to officially start the fabled endurance event on Saturday afternoon, would field a three-car team featuring the Spanish double world champion, as well as contracted 2010 drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa, in a breakaway world championship.

I've said it before in a couple of other threads. I love F1 however I also would love for things to be stirred up drastically and for there to be a break away series. F1 is supposed to be about technology dominence and a format for different engine manufacturers to prove their worth.

I fully understand the ecnomic situation we are in, and better than most, however there are many ways to reel in costs, and since it affects all participating companies/teams who are involved with F1 it should be discussed not dictated.

I just think no matter what, F1 has really been hurt by this. It won't dissapear by any means. However it will cause a big drop in the numbers of people watching it (tv and in person), and the amount of new large sponsors. Marketing/advertising dollars are becoming sparse with everyone and many companies are going to think twice about usuing sparse funds to advertise in something so shaky as the future of F1. Just my thoughts.
