    3 weeks in and i already broke it. was putting it up in the garage today and the coolant all came out on the floor. looked to be coming out of the "front" of the engine near the rear passenger tire. car didn't overheat. luckily i already have an appointment scheduled with the dealer on tuesday. i guess i'll be towing it instead of driving it though. damn, 3 days of no driving ahead. pray for me.

    Hope it isn't too bad.

    Were you able to identify if it was a hose, a clamp, or something else?

    no, not yet. i'll probably wait till we get it up in the air to look on tuesday.

    Good news.

    Now, if you ever sell it, make sure you say "Brand new clamp!" in the ad. ;)

    I would check all fuel line clamps as well as any others you can find. Assuming they're all the same age, you might want to be sure all is well in the more combustable areas.

    i hope your dealer doesn't rob you like mine did.

    the dealer here fixed a leak in my radiator pipe. $600.
    balanced 4 wheels. $120
    re-attached rear view mirror, yes they just put a two sided sticker on it. $120
    new battery. $240

    the guy who bought my 328 insisted I get the work done at the dealer.

    That hose is on the bottom right side. Its a hose that slips of often. When ever you do an oil change, always tell the guy to check that hose. My mechanic told me that if I ever have to take out the engine for repairs (hope not), thats one hose that he would fabricate a metal pipe so that it won't slip off again. My hose slipped of last year on a Saturday night. I waited three hours for a flat bed to tow me. Wasn't happy. But I got new coolant!

    luckily, my "regular" mechanic did it immediately and for free. saved me a $150 tow bill to the dealer. I live right around the corner from my regular mechanic so i just drove it over there. i'm just paying the dealer the regular rate to look everything over. most of the work it will need i will have my regular mechanic do. I already know it needs rotors and pads from this mornings lift. anybody know where to get them? thanks guys

    ps. you don't know how much i wanted to drive that thing after i watched the french gp! man i love driving that thing. i was very worried when it coughed up all that ant-freeze. feel like i dodged a bullet.
