I agonized over the shields as I don't want this car to be too "out there." But in the end, I know it's a big resale feature and cannot be retrofitted properly w/o great expense.

Sounds like a beautiful California you've ordered Tom! Love that color combination. Grigio Silverstone looks beautiful when the sun hits it. The very first Calilfornia I saw was in your combination. And as you can see, it looked great! Short time and you'll have it, best of luck with it!

Nice...almost same as my spec; unfortunately I caved during month 2 of the wait and bought a demo in Mugello/Cuoio. Two things I would recommend considering: 1. the electrochromatic mirrors w/homelink; 2. Colored leather on a-pillars...they look very elegant in Couio against the silverstone when the top is down; also looks nice from the inside.

Personally, I feel the same way as you about the shields, and I also went with them for the same reason. One other thought, if indeed you don't want it to be too "out there", I would think about whether you really want the yellow calipers...maybe go with grey or black...also, maybe go with the black tach for the same reason? Depends on the look that you're going for. However you like it, hope you're more patient than I.
