Our 8 year old min pin vanished from our fenced backyard beginning of Feb. :( We think either stolen or eaten by something big that could jump our 4' back fence. Coyote or mtn lion. Same time frame several dogs were killed by mtn lion(s) about 15 miles away.

I'm still looking every day shelters/craigslist/etc, but hope is waning. But we came across this guy and put a deposit down for him. Min pin 4 weeks old, won't be ready for us to adopt til mid-April.

Any brilliant ideas for a name? Killer, Spike, Butch? Jaws? :)

I'm leaning toward Odie, my wife Luigi (mario bros addict!:D)

My wife wasn't too impressed with Bowser. Nor Dry Bones from Mario Kart. :)

Rascal's a neat name. Might fit him, the seller emailed me that he's starting to be playful and nosy. :)

Thanks for the sympathy. The hardest part is just not knowing. :(

It so ironic that you got a minpin and yesterday I stop by my parents old house to eat dinner and wait for traffic to die down.

I go over and talk to their neighbors and they said they just picked up two dogs roaming my parents yard without tags. One of the dogs happen to be a min-pin.

Now here's the crazy thing, he only had 3 legs! :(

He was freaking sweet as can be. Just loved attention. He was talented too, he peed while standing on his 2 front legs. :D

They're going to post some flyers around the neighborhood and call the local vet to see if they know anything about them. We sort of think they may have been abandoned. I sure hope not.:(

Finally picked up our new boy this afternoon! :D We decided to name him Rascal. Max was a close 2nd, the final decision was made at the pet id engraving machine at Petco!

He actually is racally, so it fits him. Thanks for the name suggestions!

I guess the excitement go to him...... :)

Sad to hear about the 3-legged dog. Hope things worked out ok.

The Min Pin breed has a history of potential leg/hip problems.
