Alternative seats for 599?

Hello, everyone. I've searched the forum in several different ways and haven't found this topic -- if there are prior threads, I'd welcome a pointer to them.

Having said that: I'm getting close to the top of the waiting list for a 599, and my wife and I had a chance to drive the factory demo car last week when it was in town. Fantastic, by the way -- a real contrast to my 612, a car that I really like but that to me is much less "Ferrari-like" than the 599 now that I've driven both in the same day.

The problem: my wife cannot get comfortable in the seats. She sits fairly straight-up, and the forward curve at the top of the seat back jams her head forward. She has also had neck pain/disc problems in her neck for several years, which just makes it worse. In contrast, she loooooves the seats in the 612, and would be just as happy (or happier) if we just kept that car.

The question: has anyone here substituted other seats in a 599? I'm thinking as a factory modification here -- for instance, has anyone taken delivery of a 599 with Scud or 430 (or even 612) seats? I have to say that I've always thought that the tops of the 599 seats are butt-ugly -- but I find them really comfortable to sit in. I understand that there might be real issues with seat height and width, etc. -- but am wondering if anyone else has addressed an issue of this type.

Second question: would the problem be less pronounced with the base 599 seats as compared to the Recaro sport seats in the car we drove? More padding, getting her body forward relative to the headrest, etc.

The shame of it is that she loves the seats (adjustable bolsters, etc.) up to about her armpits -- above that level, though, it's pain all the way.

Thanks -- on your advice I called my dealer and they are checking into it. Factory store, so well aware of the customization program.

My wife was so pleased that she started backpedaling ("well, maybe I can find a way...") as she knows that especially on the track those Recaros are going to rock, and that it's my car, after all. Thanks to you I'm closer to a happy resolution one way or the other -- many thanks!
