348 Spiders come with part 6 (OEM #: 61936600) as shown in this diagram. Part 6 replaces relay #5 in that diagram.

Part 6 is a bridge...a hardwired short that acts like an activated relay, except with less resistance (i.e. less voltage drop, less heat, potential to flow more amps).

If you have a 348 that has relay #5 installed in your passenger footwell, then you should be able to buy Ferrari part # 61936600 for a few Dollars to speed up your windows.

It would be a good thing to test, anyway.

This OEM part can probably be used in addition to other aftermarket window-speed boosters.

I don't know and can't confirm, but it wouldn't surprise me to one day learn that this speed boost is also valid for 355's and Mondial T's.

I wonder if Daniel at Ricambi would have that #6 part? I'd try it!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the Spider have an electrical system that automatically lowers the windows slightly when you are putting the top down? So perhaps this "bridge" is part of that system? I don't have the wiring diagram for the Spider, but I think I would use some caution inserting this bridge in place of the relay until I was certain that it wouldn't hurt anything.

Yes. The 348 Spider does have an extra window motor electro-mechanical device inside each door.

I tried this but it made no difference presumably because the relay is in good condition. I also put in relays to improve the grounding as discussed here many times. This made the drivers window fine but the passenger window was still slow. The problem is the puny supply wire goes from the fusebox to the drivers door, through the crap door plug, to the high resistance crap switch, then back through the door plug, all the way round the dash, through another crap door plug, through a crap switch to the motor and if you havent done the relay ground, back through the door plug again. All this resistance helps with global warming but only gives the motor about 8 volts.

If you want fast windows, use the well documented grounding dodge or module, run a decent sized, fused 12v supply to the door and use Luigi's rubbish system as a trigger for another couple of 30amp relays to give 12volts to the motors.Your expensive door switches will last longer and your windows will zip up and down as Ferrari intended but was incapable of achieving.
