    I am having problems wtth my alternator light staying on.I thought it was my alternator,had it checked out and it is good.I check for power coming to the light.there is power at the light yellow and black,but don.t have power coming out yellow and green .no power going to the alternator.if I jump between the light I have power going to the alternator.Could it be the light that is bad???Thank you

    Bad bulbs don't stay lit.

    You have a bad diode(s) in the regulator. Change mechanics and the alternator.

    Have checked the voltage regulator? Sometimes the brushes on those gets worn out.

    Most likely voltage regulator, or a short somewhere in the circuit.
