Alternator mounting question

I have a US version Dino 246 with no AC and am wanting to get rid of the existing heavy and space consuming mounting bracket (made to house the air pump too) and use a European alternator mounting bracket instead. However, I plan on using the existing US version alternator (External Regulator). My question is: can I just replace the mounting bracket with the European version, which is available through DinoParts, or do I have to replace other items to make this setup work?
