Alternator Questions.

Has anyone put the Worldwide 13152 alternator in a 79 308? I had 3 hours of pain and cussing removing my noisy alternator for replacement yesterday. The alternator looks like it will work although it is not exactly like the Bosch unit I took out, pulley change and some bushings and everything lined up. My questions are , There are two wires that go to the alternator, the large one is going to the B+ terminal the small one with the plastic connector goes to D+ on the bosch alternator but there are 2 possible connectors on the Worldwide unit neither of which is clearly marked. Which one does the small wire go to?? I don't want to damage anything by hooking up to the wrong one. What is the purpose of that wire? Is it the one that turns off the Gen lite? Also the heat shield doesn't look like it will fit without modification. Is it necessary? Has anyone modified it to fit??? Thanks guys.
