Does anyone know of who might make an ali expansion/header/overflow tank for a Mondial Qv, I remember seeing it a thread somewhere but couldn't find it on a search.

Also is the sensor on top for the water level or temperature, and what is the part attached on the front that looks like a valve of some sorts, Thanks

The gizmo on top is the "warning device for liquid level" (per the SPC at www.eurospares.co.uk -- these SPC illustration/descriptions can be very helpful in caring for your MondialQV).

The gizmo on the front is the "Auxillary air valve" which is a thermo-mechanical air valve that is open when cold and closes when heated either by its internal electrical heater (that's what the electrical connector is for) or by heat transferred via conduction from the coolant in the overflow tank.

Thanks Steve for your help, I have removed the check control panel so I won't need a sensor on top anyway.

I was going to have the other part mounted elsewhere but after reading about being conductive i will have it on the replacement ali tank, I have been quoted around £120 to have it fabricated up using mine as a pattern
