Looking for a distributor drive gear called a skew gear by Alvis. It couples the bottom of the dist. to the top of the oil pump and is driven by the camshaft. 3 litre 1961. Any dead engines out there for parts? Is this something that can be made from scratch? Cheers and thanks, Kurt 1959 Lancia Flaminia, 1950 Riley Drophead - for sale 1968 Ultravan, 1980 911SC 1974 914 Track car project - for sale
Kurt. Do you know of ..Red Triangle Services, in UK. They have a super website, and a huge parts list. Maybe you refer to the distributor drive gear. That could be part No. CO 6030. They distribute worldwide. The part would be new,not used.Google them, and troll through the parts.
Thank you Michael. I have dealt with them indirectly in the past. Sometimes they fill and deliver orders quiickly. They are very expensive, more than Ferrari, and have made my clients wait enormous amounts of time often and then communication was poor. Chris Prince, on the other hand is excellent with customer service and very helpful. I will try him if I cannot find anything here. Cheers, Kurt
