This really is a sad story. I live right by Atwater village in Silverlake and drive through the are where he had tried to get some action. That part of the city there are transvestites all over the place. And yes some look better than some women I've seen. Not surprising he got fooled. Unfortunately he obviously had some personal sexual issues and freaked out. If he had just said "sorry I thought you were a woman, please get out" that would have been the end of it. I don't know if it's related but when I got home from work the power was out in our neighborhood. From my place I could see DWP work trucks in Atwater working. I don't know if he'd hit a pole with his car that might have knocked out the power to our part of the grid. Strange night. Wound up taking my girlfriend to dinner an the lights were on when we got back.
She had mentioned hearing about a police chase ending in Atwater but that was it.

This is just sad.
