    2000 360F1 coupe 11K miles/ Rosso Corsa/ black interior
    Cam variator-campaigns complete/ 6yr/30K Service in 2005
Immaculate exterior/ average interior/ PPI pending
capristano 2 exhaust/ challenge grille, shields/ CF something in the exhaust (sorry)
    $114K firm
I’m getting a PPI tomorrow. I’ve been researching on Fchat for about 4 months, you guys have been great, thank you so much. When I saw this car, I fell in love with the exterior; the interior and the test drive was so so compared to my two prior passenger rides: an F40 (Cecile in TX, are you in this forum?) and an F430 last year (no, it’s not a fair comparison). Am I asking too much to get an immaculate exterior AND interior in this price range?

Assuming all comes back clean from the PPI, I think $114K is a reasonable price.

$114k for a 2000 car should get you "an immaculate exterior AND interior"

Yes you should go as low as you can get them to go. In another year that car will be worth under $100K so try to get the best deal possible.

I too was searching for many months. Did you say it was a dealer car? 1 yr ferrari warranty? Fresh brakes/tires? If so, a fair price. May be slight wiggle room...

I've been also looking at 360s and the ones I've seen with miles like the one you are looking at have perfect interiors. An 11K miles car should be close to perfect. I wouldn't expect the interior to be perfect say, on a 31K miles car.

I think I would not pay over $100K for this one and I think that is a fair price. You are not "stealing" it or over paying.

Just paid a little bit less for a 2000 titanium/black with challenge grill in PERFECT condition 15K miles with 6 speed manual from a dealer.

Also got the dealer to toss in a discount on the major it needed.

Your car is gonna need a belt service this year. figure $1500 or so for that. (Ferrari says belts every three years.)

I don't think the exhaust adds or subtacts value. Interior is an issue.

I think you're in the ballpark but maybe $105- 108K for the car.

I think you are close on price. If you like the car, go for it. There are probably others that could be had for a little less, but this is in the ballpark. Enjoy.

i would walk unless you can get it for a steal, ie closer to 100k or less....the less than perfect interior is only going to wear more over time...there are many 360s out there, wait for the perfect one....

My thought is: why are ppl so tight picking apart a few grand on a car that costs over $100k????

Yeah, I understand $1k, $3k, or even $5k is all money, but really folks, is it worth it in the grand scheme? How much is your sanity worth worrying about this small number relative to the cost of the car? If a candy bar costs $1, 99 cents, or 95 cents, do you stress out about it? Remember, this is a self indulgent purchase with little practicality involved; don't treat it as such.

I'd say if it checks out (don't want to buy a lemon) just buy the damn thing and enjoy it if it's within your budget. I assume by "budget" $114k is within your range? Can't imagine that $110k is, but $114k is too high. But I've been wrong before.

One thing is for sure though.... after you buy it, you WILL see cars that go for cheaper as well as cars that go for more than what you pay. Murphy's law. I wouldn't get hung up over it a great deal.

You also ned to find out about recent fluid changes and such. You could easily be looking at $3k++ at the dealer for a 15k service.

...and, BTW, I think the car your looking at sounds like a decent deal. I've seen better and I've seen worse. To me it sounds "typical, to good".

Apparently the cars interior is less than perfect, and given that most 360s have interiors that are kept perfect, why buy this car at market price...with so many other 360s on the market, there will be dozens if not hundreds more available that will be absolutely pristine....

My thoughts pretty much as you put it. I think in $10K increments - if I'm overpaying $5K fine, but $10K, I can get a newer year, less mileage, spider, etc.

Got the PPI and I also got a photocopy of the dealer service from 2005, just like I'm always reading I should.
The "major service" in 2005 turned out to be a timing belt change only (~$2700 bill). So this car has not had it's 6yr/30K yet!

    Then the PPI:
The "simple front bumper paint touch up" turned out to be a competely replaced bumper!
The "minor" windshield chip will require an entire windshield replacement!
Rear tires bald; rear brakes need replacing; 35% clutch life left .... well, you get the picture.

Good lord, I think I'm gonna go get a Camry :(
