    What other industry creates an award ceremony for themselves to tell them all how great they are and expects the public to fawn over them all.

    The movies that win are *always* the "moving, heart-wrenching, dramatic, thrilling, meaningful" movies. You'd never see Terminator win over Brokeback Mountain.
