No - at least until I'm a nominee/winner. Until then, tip for Los Angelenos - THE best night of the year to go to Griffith Park Observatory - place is deserted. BTW, when are the awards?
I think I watched them once, for maybe 30 minutes, several years ago. I had some friends up for a special effects Oscar. That was it.
A few hours on TV of self glorification and back scratching. I can spend those few hours doing that stuff in the bedroom....
Watched Chris Rock's opening monologue last year - Jon Stewart's, this year. A few good lines from Stewart. Otherwise, no interest.
Self-aggrandizing BS. What other industry creates an award ceremony for themselves to tell them all how great they are and expects the public to fawn over them all. The movies that win are *always* the "moving, heart-wrenching, dramatic, thrilling, meaningful" movies. You'd never see Terminator win over Brokeback Mountain.
Wifey is glued to the tube right now watching it......I, on the other hand....have escaped to F-chat. Ann Coulter's award predictions which I read today were pretty funny.
it's just an excuse for the actors to charge more for movies, even more than their over exagerated salaries that are TOO HIGH ALREADY
