First of all, my English is not perfect so I apologise for the mistakes. I am a Flight Attendant at an Arabic Airline company. But what I really want is to fly in Europe or States so that I could make money for PPL and CPL. Could anyone help me giving the web address for the companies that they work so that I can apply. Thank you

Most of us are just recreational fliers and don't work for aviation companies. Are you looking for any job in the states or in aviation?

I am not sure that at any job I ll be allowed to work at states legally. But if I work as a flight attendant, the company arranges the legal documents and things like that. So first of all, I'll try to find an aviation company.

I've never heard of anyone not being able to work at a job in the states just because they were born somewhere else. That goes against what the founders of the United States believed in. As long as you are a citizen, you should be able to work anywhere. If I'm wrong about this I will be very angry at our current lawmakers.

Because I am a Turkish citizen, I can only work in the States if the company that I'll work has to get me a working visa before I come there and most of the companies don't accept it. As a result, it has too many procedures. Even for getting a tourist visa, its too difficult. Does anyone know about being an American citizen, how many years I should wait if I get married with an American guy ? :))

I trust you missed the fact that she is not a US citizen, other wise I have to ask what rock you have been living under.

It can take several years of waiting to get a work VISA and you have to have it before you can enter the country.

As for the question about getting married, it all depends. You will have meetings with state dept people, they will ask you questions about how the two of you meet, they will dig in to your past, your family's past. The ok can happen very quickly as in days if every thing checks out. Or they could drag it out for years if you appear to just want a green card.

Your best option is to get a job with an airline that has flights to America and work those routes.
