I like listening to sports talk radio during the day. Unfortunately I can't stream it on my pc at work, and lately my cell phone has been spotty in the building so streaming hasn't been that reliable which is very frustrating.

Is there a digital radio that's not that expensive and compact that picks up AM stations? Any other recommendations/ideas are welcome.

    Thanks.

IMHO, the Tivoli line is the best for broadcast radio. Not the cheapest, but some of the best.

About 5 years ago I picked up a Sangean DT-210 for my father-in-law. He uses it almost every day to listen to sports and talk radio. They are still available on Amazon for about $45. Very rugged little unit with great reception. For your desk you might prefer something like their PR-D7 that comes with an AC adapter and is about the same price.

Thanks guys for the advice. I'll check into it.

Do you think weather could affect my 3G (verizon)? If I go one cubicle row over it works fine, my row nothing at all. I haven't had an issue until late last week. And not until Wednesday it stopped connecting.
