Very striking and brave design. It is not classically beautiful, but boy, it is eye catching!

I cannot wait to see this car this weekend at the Canadian Auto Show. I'll try to get as many photos as I can. I don't think I've been this excited about a car since the Mclaren F1.

It's pretty great that the carbon tub is made right here North of Toronto.

A little disappointed that the engine is a boring v12. Better than a v8, but hardly exotic ...

I assume you are disappointed because engine is not developed by AM or RB in-house? In some way, I agree with you, if that were your thoughts.

If you find V12 boring as engine type, well you should switch to all-electric Tesla. There is a lot of fun nowadays :D

I'll have to wait and see as it is built by Cosworth, who are no slouches in the engine department.

I've been thinking about this and I think a v10 would be more exciting but then boring old Audi make those too. So I then I was think a v16 but Bugatti already do that, so back to a v12 I guess. Funny now that v12's are so common ... to me ;)

I would be more excited/interested if it was say a 3 litre v12 with at least a couple of turbochargers, enhanced by electric engines to eliminate turbo lag ... like F1 does at the moment.

Similar to what Mercedes will be doing, then. Since they're using their formula engine in the car or so they say.

I can't believe how alone I am in thinking this car is hideous. Between this and the DB11 Aston Martin may have the ugliest new two car line up among super car manufacturers. I NEVER thought I'd say that......

I completely disagree. The DB11 one of the best looking cars I've ever seen. I've been in several and seen several different colors and the car is absolutely gorgeous.

I find the car awful looking. I think I have more in agreement with me about the DB11 though than I do about the Valkyrie.

I don't know if the DB11 is awful looking but I definitely think it's a step back from the beautiful proportions of the DB9. But then again I'm not buying it new so who cares.

I'm not going that far but....

There is WAY TOO MUCH of the design done from wind tunnel testing over visual design.

The mac 720s may be technical wonder in a wind tunnel but it looks odd to me. Maybe it will grow on me but the first reaction I have is --- strange.

Exotic? Yes. An engineering marvel? Maybe. But not aesthetically pleasing, at least to me.

There are some really nice touches here and there. I like the doors and the glass panels in them. But the face is going to be something of an acquired taste I fear.

Let designers design again and stop this aero nonsense. As far as performance is concerned, when you reach 200 mph who gives a crap above that? Geez even an Alfa 4 door sedan costing 70 grand can go over 185 today. Would 190 make it that much better?

off topic but remember how weird the big audi grills looked when they came out in 07? looked like a hitler moustache to me back then. awful. but now its standard for all cars to have similar grill. I think 720 will be similar. now back to the 0001...

IMO it is considerably better looking than the Lamborghini Veneno. 0001's shape flows and I think it is very exotic looking.

BUT TheMayor is right and points out quite correctly that supercars and more modern high powered saloon cars are pointless or being silly when it comes to performance.

I'm an Alfisti and I do not understand why Alfa Romeo have made the latest Quadrifoglio the way it is, as it is unnecessarily fast. Now maybe back in 2001 my 156v6 would have resulted in the same response from me. But one of the most interesting things I have found with this car is it is not how fast it is that I enjoy but how quietly capable it is and I find that less and less I use its performance. So I assume that once the new owners of the latest Quadrifoglio finish getting their rocks off they will also use the performance less and less ... so end result is the car is an adult masturbation piece just like supercars.

Because of technology improvements the 4 cylinder Giulia is perfectly fast enough.

This Aston is a fantastic technical exercise but a stupid car ;)

Spent some more time yesterday looking at a DB11 in person. Any one who thinks it's as good looking as a DB9 is nuts imho. It's far more striking but also far more garish. The wheelbase is much too long. And the worst offense by far is the hideous bumper pads on either side of the license plate that stick out about 4 inches!

I wish more than anything car manufacturers would STOP putting these on for the US market they're ruining the rear end of cars.
